When I conceived of this project I set myself a set of principles/disciplines to work within. This helps to create a sense of focus and clarity and visual language. It also makes the project simpler, more direct and purposeful for the maker(ME) and therefore more realistically achievable and less prone to procrastination & indecision.

I use only the 'free' 'junk mail' material that I receive physically through my house letter box unsolicited.

I use only the plain text and whole words as they are printed. I do not use photographs, illustrations and any type that was too designed.

I make only whole full figures and I use the the gatefold double page spread of the book.

The images concern themselves with my feelings regarding 'Junk Mail'.

I will try very hard to make at least 1 a month.
